Part 5: Violence

 This is the guy:

So up till now. its been 1 month and no action still.

Part 4: Dudes an expert still (again) and wants to get this fixed as fast as possible (again)

Sent him the quotes to his e-mail from the two shops since he wanted to see the real pieces.

Beyond this point, i'm the stupid one because I should have called insurance for sure.

Part 3: I am a man of action.

I got hit on thursday, Friday I get a quote from Traphouse. Tuesday I get a quote from Carstar.
So I stuck with my word, wanted to get this resolved quick. Sent it over to him Jun 29th.

Count up to now:

1. I've been hit.

2. I've done the work and took my own time out to get 2 quotes

Part 2 - Dude is a body shop expert + key words are "Please don't take as in this process is going to take forever"

I'm also nice and offer him some solutions that would hurt him less. Also more SOB stories:

Part 1: The reach around.

Got hit part 1

I turn out of my residential area onto 63rd ave and turn into the closet lane heading west bound. I check my rear views, do a merge to the left lane and drive a few hundred meters to the stop light. During this time, I'm checking in my rearview and there's a turquoise vehicle that appears to be coming up SUPER fast behind me. As he's getting closer and closer it's pretty clear he's not gonna stop soon enough.

He brakes super hard, brakes locking up tires squealing and miraculously doesn't hit me. Must have been on his phone or something I think, maybe distracted. Oh well, not a big deal.

Light turns green, 2-3 cars in front of me, they start moving and then I feel someone accelerate hard into the back of my car. Wow, buddy braked barely in time to not smoke me just to accelerate into me at a green light. sick.

Needless to say, buddy was pretty anxious to not go through insurance etc. Got information and he had quite a bit of SOB stories related to work, child custody, etc. Probably was distracted on phone doing all that stuff, probably not having a good day.

Turns out it was gonna be a pretty long month.

Day 11: Track Promo Day!

Today I spent my evening at the track trying to promote a lapping event on September 12th. Nothing really has come up in my mind, but here's the poster I made for it:

And here's a bunch of the club lined up today to go for a ride around Castrol to promote and garner interest for everyone to run a full lapday:

The price seems a bit steep at $295, but you get over 2.5 hours of seat time around the track.
I'm one that's totally against street racing, so why would you race on the street. Risk a life. Risk safety. And you can't even go up to a very high speed or take a corner as fast as you want.

For $295, you pay a bit more than an average speeding ticket. But you get to go balls out as hard as you want. Next time you're in a room or out walking around, look around at everyone. People spend tens of thousands of dollars. Even hundreds of thousands of dollars on cars. And how many people do you think standing in front of you have spent that much, but haven't even come CLOSE to driving their car to its absolute limits?

What's the point of buying that shiny car if you aren't gonna open it up in a safe environment.

For that reason, I feel like its definitely a worth while experience.
